Workshops/Clubs
We are proud to offer an array of programs for all ages. We strive to make this library a favorite place in Marple. Click on the link for details about our adults, tween/teens, and children’s programs.
Adult Quiet Room
Everyone needs a little peace and quiet from time to time. You can find that place to concentrate and/or study in Marple Library’s Quiet Room. Cell phone use not allowed. This special space has been furnished through the generosity of the Friends of Marple Library and Broomall Rotary Club.
Seed Library
Select your seeds at the Seed Library. Consult the seed packets in our binder for important growing information. Fill out a “Check out” form and drop it into the box at the Seed Library. A library card is not required. A card is required to check out a seed/gardening themed Kid Kit that can be found in the Children’s Area.
Interlibrary Loans
If you need an item not held by a Delaware County library, you may ask us to try to find it in another library within the state or across the country. You will be notified when the item arrives. Items must be picked up within five days. A request can be made by phone or in person.
Museum Passes
Check out our collection of museum passes. Loan period is three (3) days.
Library of Things
Check out our collection of Things. Loan period is seven (7) days.
Community Puzzle
The Community Puzzle is open to everyone. All you have to do is stop by the puzzle and spend some time adding a few pieces. Enjoy the benefits of jigsaw puzzles (reduced anxiety, increased patience, boosted problem-solving skills, and enhanced brain functioning) while contributing to this joint effort.
Item Requests
You can request materials from any Delaware County library by placing a hold through your account or by visiting the Circulation desk. You will be notified by telephone or email when that item arrives. Requested items must be picked up within five days.
Curbside Pickup
We are happy to offer the ease and convenience of our Curbside Pickup Service to all our patrons. Directions and how to access what is available can be found on our Curbside Pickup page.
At-Home Delivery Service
We offer free home delivery of library materials to township residents who are unable to visit the library due to Short- or Long-term illness, Non-driver status (Senior) and/or Physical Challenge.
Once a month a volunteer or staff member will deliver library items to the patron’s home. The following month those materials will be picked up and a new selection will be dropped off. Specific books may be requested by title, and assistance is offered in selecting books by category.
To enroll in the At-Home Delivery Service program, the patron must complete the At-Home Delivery Service survery so that we can better assist in material selection. The at-home delivery service is free. Overdue fines are not charged on homebound material; however, patrons are responsible for damaged or lost items. For more information about our At-Home Delivery Service contact Bridgette 484-427-8125.
Proctoring Services
Qualified librarians are available by appointment to proctor examinations and tests. We will provide a public access computer for online exams. It is the responsibility of the test taker to schedule a date with sufficient time to take the exam before the deadline established by the institution/examining body and to ensure that our computing resources are adequate for your test taking requirements.
Technology
Convenient technology service options right at the library.
DVD Rentals
We have NO RENTAL FEES to check out DVDs! Overdue fines do still apply though, so be sure to return them on time.

We offer 15 devices preloaded with a variety of titles. Kindles are available for three weeks to checkout and can also be renewed. You can now place a hold on a Kindle through your library account and pick it up at any Delaware County Library.
