Special Announcements:

There is still time to provide input. The Delaware County Council has contracted with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to assess the delivery of public health services in Delaware County.  Input from Delaware County residents is critical to the success of this effort. One way to participate is to complete a 10-15 minute online survey on how the County is addressing residents’ public health-related needs. All survey responses will be anonymous. The survey is open to all Delaware County residents over 18 years of age, now through January 31, 2020, and can be accessed at: https://tinyurl.com/DelCoSurvey.  For assistance completing the survey or to complete the survey in another language, please contact us at delcohealthstudy@gmail.com.

NOTICE: Starting Monday (12/16), the library restrooms will be temporarily closed for renovations.  Public restrooms are available on the building’s lower level. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this renovation project.  We look forward to providing new and improved facilities in the near future.

Marple Library Earns PA Forward Gold Star: PA Forward is a statewide initiative under the PA Library Association (PaLA) that places the spotlight on Pennsylvania libraries and their important role in the community. By proving that we promote the five literacies that are the backbone of PA Forward (Basic, Information, Civic and Social, Health and Financial) we’ve earned the gold star.

Marple is the first library in Delco to reach this achievement!  Picture with Commissioner Liaison Dan Leefson and Marple Library Director LaTanya Burno during the Marple Township Board of Commissioners meeting recognizing this achievement.

During our August 9th celebration we were honored with a Certificate of Recognition from the Office of Senator Kearney and a House of Representative Citation presented by State Representative Jennifer O’Mara. Congratulations to the amazing staff, Board of Directors, volunteers, donors and community partners who have made Marple Library a local favorite place.
