CALL TO ACTION: As a library user, we ask that you join us in asking the Pennsylvania legislature to restore full funding to public libraries. The current 5/12th appropriation equals a 58% reduction from the 2019 annual funding of the Delaware County Libraries. The result is a more than $1.48 million decrease in funding to the 26 county libraries. This decrease in funding will have a severely negative impact on the services and programs that our community libraries provide.  Here’s how you can help:

      * Text PQMJYG to 50409 to contact your representatives through Resistbot

* Contact your representatives directly (need to find your representative? https://www.legis.state.pa.us/…/home/findyourlegislator/)

THANK YOU for all your support and for taking up this Call to Action!

Marple is the first library in Delco to earn PA Forward Gold Star!

Marple Library Earns PA Forward Gold Star:PA Forward is a statewide initiative under the PA Library Association (PaLA) that places the spotlight on Pennsylvania libraries and their important role in the community. By proving that we promote the five literacies that are the backbone of PA Forward (Basic, Information, Civic and Social, Health and Financial) we’ve earned the gold star.
