Socrates Cafe

“Socrates Café is an opportunity for people from different backgrounds to gather and exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences while embracing the central theme of Socratizing: the idea that we learn more when we question with others. This program is open to adults who’d like to engage in a common quest to gain a better understanding of human nature, become a more empathetic person and a more critical and creative philosophical inquirer.”

Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month and begin at 10:30 a.m. The group does not meet in the summer months.

No registration necessary. Light refreshments will be provided.

Upcoming meetings:

January 7th: What is Truth? Are we living in a post-truth era?

February 4th: What is a good education? How do we, as adults, continue to learn?

March 4th: Which qualities are necessary in a leader?

April 1st: What are our responsibilities as citizens?

May 6th: What is an excellent marriage?

Socrates Café does not meet in summer. See you in September!
